These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of jystiyan.com (the “Site”), operated by D. K. Ashvale (“we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site.
1. Adults only (18+)
The Site contains explicit written fiction and artwork intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old, and of legal age to view adult material where you live, to enter or use the Site. By confirming the age screen or creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement. We may close any account we believe belongs to someone under 18.
2. Accounts and membership
To join, you provide an email address and a username and create a password. You are responsible for keeping your login private and for activity on your account. Please give accurate information and keep your email current.
Membership is currently free (the “Free Reader” membership), and no payment is collected. We may add paid membership tiers in the future. If we do, each tier’s price, billing period and what it includes will be shown clearly before you buy, and payments will be handled by a third-party payment processor. Paid memberships, if offered, are also covered by our Refund Policy.
We may change what each membership includes, including which content is free.
3. Acceptable use and forum conduct
When using the Site, including any reader forum or comments, you agree not to:
- harass, threaten, or abuse others, or post hateful content;
- post content involving minors, or describing any character as under 18, in any sexual context;
- post non-consensual real-person sexual content, or other people’s private information;
- post illegal content, spam, advertising, malware, or links meant to deceive;
- impersonate anyone, or share or sell your account;
- try to bypass the age gate, membership restrictions, or security, or scrape the Site.
You keep ownership of what you post, but you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display it on the Site. We may edit, hide or remove posts, and limit or suspend accounts, at our discretion.
4. No sharing or reposting
Content on the Site is for your personal reading only. You may not copy, download for redistribution, repost, share, sell, upload to other sites, or use Site content to train AI models, in whole or in part, without our written permission. Brief quotes for review or discussion with a link back to the Site are fine.
5. Intellectual property
All text, artwork, images, video and other original content on the Site, including the Jys-Ti-Yan novel, its characters and world, are © 2026 D. K. Ashvale. All rights reserved. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership to you.
6. Fiction and adult characters
Jys-Ti-Yan is a work of fiction. All characters depicted or described, in text or art, are fictional adults aged 18 or older. Any resemblance to real people is coincidental. Some artwork is AI-generated or illustrated. The content explores mature themes and is intended for adult fantasy only; it does not endorse any real-world conduct.
7. Copyright (DMCA) notices
We respect copyright. If you believe material on the Site infringes your copyright, send a notice to dkashvale@gmail.com with: your contact information; a description of the work; the URL of the material; a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner; and your physical or electronic signature. We may remove the material and will terminate repeat infringers’ accounts.
8. Termination
You can stop using the Site or ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close your account, with or without notice, if you break these Terms or if we stop operating the Site. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as ownership, disclaimers and limitation of liability) continue after termination.
9. Disclaimers
The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don’t promise that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or always available, or that any particular content will remain available.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $50.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in California, unless the law requires otherwise.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date above, and for significant changes we may also notify members by email or on the Site. Continuing to use the Site after changes take effect means you accept the new Terms.
